We report on a couple of rare machines that were spotted among the many interesting exhibits at this year’s Woolpit Steam Rally.

Seen at the excellent Woolpit Steam Rally, held in Suffolk over the weekend of June 3rd-4th, and which saw huge crowds attend, was Matthew Haylock’s lovely Holt 10 ton, that was in full running condition. The rare Caterpillar-tracked machine was part of the Cheffins Wilson sale that had been held at Ossington on May 20th, and we gather that it’s not been seen out at any rally for some years. As a result, this rarity was a highlight for many of the show’s visitors.
